Chanmin Park

Weon G. Kim [Of Counsel]

American University, Washington College of Law, LLM.  Mr. Kim has extensive experience in business transactions and dispute resolutions both in Korea and the United States for 20 years.  He is admitted to practice in South Korea, the state of Virginia and the state of Maryland.  Mr. Kim’s familiarity in the law and business environment of both countries enabled successful representation of domestic and international clients in complex transactional matters and resolving disputes.  Mr. Kim is also admitted to practice in US District Court, US Bankruptcy Court, US Tax Court.

Edward Friedman [Of Counsel]

Mr. Friedman received his B.A. degree from Pomona College in Claremont, California, and his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University Law School in Los Angeles.  Mr. Friedman is admitted to practice in California. Mr. Friedman’s practice emphasizes real estate and business transactional matters of all types.  He has practiced real estate law for 30 years.  In particular, Mr. Friedman handles land acquisitions, preparation and negotiation of loan documents (including governmental loans, construction loans, and permanent loans), and preparation and negotiation of investment documents.  In the course of this work, Mr. Friedman has handled transactions which exceed $500,000,000 in debt and equity financing. Mr. Friedman also has extensive experience representing purchasers and owners of commercial and residential income properties, as well as assisting with the formation of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies to hold title to such properties, and the preparation and analysis of leases for those properties.

Steven A. Morris [Of Counsel]

Mr. Morris was admitted to practice in California in 1986.  He is an insurance, business and real estate litigation attorney for the firm.  Mr. Morris has significant trial experience involving insurance, business and commercial matters and has extensive experience in insurance defense matters in connection with the firm’s retention by large insurance companies on behalf of the firm’s major clients. Mr. Morris received his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from California State University at Northridge, cum laude. Mr. Morris also is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Central District of California and regularly prosecutes cases in that court.

Jonathan M. Deer [Of Counsel]

Mr. Deer graduated from the University of South Florida, cum laude, in 1981 with a degree in Philosophy and a minor in film.  He obtained his law degree, with honors, from the University of Florida College of Law in 1985. Mr. Deer is admitted to practice in California. Mr. Deer has extensive business litigation experience in both state and federal court in the areas of real estate, corporate disputes, licensing, contracts, commercial collections, commercial leasing, and a wide variety of business and other claims.  In his transactional practice, Mr. Deer handles matters in commercial real estate, real estate and film finance, motion picture and television deals and contracts (representing producers, writers and production companies), music industry contracts (representing name artists in record, tour and DVD deals), restaurants, business purchase and sale, general business transactions, licensing and numerous other business issues.
